Gym and Pool AreaIf you are looking for a boutique hotel in the heart of Harare, look no further than Amanzi. With a 5 barrel rating (5 star rating for lodges), a stay at Amanzi Lodge - with its stunning waterfalls and spectacular landscaped gardens, filled with rare cycads - is truly a memorable African experience. The Lodge has 12 luxury private chalets, all set separately in the gardens. Each chalet is themed in the style of a different African country - with an exceptional collection of African antiquities and contemporary art.

Gym and Pool AreaSet in 4 acres of lush, exotic gardens, the recently redecorated Amanzi Restaurant is the perfect place for a superb meal. Amanzi Restaurant provides a diverse combination of food from around the globe, bringing exotic new tastes to Zimbabwe in the form of fusion cuisine. Our latest addition to the menu is Fusion Tapas. The large restaurant terrace overlooks a dramatic waterfall and is shaded by mature Msasa trees, creating a peaceful ambience in which to dine. And remember, jazz and cocktails on Thursday evenings!

Botswana Room

Botswana RoomThe decor in Botswana Lodge is inspired by the sun-bleached neutral palette of the Kalahari Desert. The linen in shades of taupe and khaki complements the unusual furnishings. The bathroom in this lodge is true luxury - spacious and indulgent. And last but not least, your own shared upstairs sitting area from which to enjoy the stunning tropical gardens. The Botswana Room shares the sitting area with the Tanzania Room and these two rooms can be booked together for families or groups travelling together.

Congo Suite

Congo RoomThe Congo Suite is decorated in tones of saffron & cinnamon, which complement Congolese fabrics & artefacts, to create a real feeling of warmth & comfort. A spacious suite with an indoor seating area overlooking the garden where you can relax, read or entertain. The bathroom, in clean creams & dark wood is perfect for a long invigorating soak. Take time to have a sun downer on the Congo Suite's verandah.

Ghana Room

Ghana RoomThe Ghana Room is inspired by the striking style and vibrant beauty of the strong reds, greens, yellows and blacks of the Royal Kente cloth from the Ashanti Tribe of Ghana. Bright colours on linen and textiles, regional basketry, carved headboards and collectables evoke the qualities of this country.

Kenya Suite

Kenya RoomThe Kenya Suite has a luxurious colonial feel to it, with a beautiful collection of leather suitcases, antiques and glass. It is The Suite at Amanzi Lodge, with a well-appointed elegant sitting room and an exquisite king-size bed enveloped in a muslin mosquito net. A truly indulgent suite that will transport you back into the opulent past. Outside is an exclusive garden courtyard, with leather directors’ chairs and a sun umbrella set around a teak table.

Mali Room

Mali RoomThe Mali Room is furnished in a striking blend of creams and rich browns, echoing the colours of the Sahara. Decoration includes Dogon doors and ethnic furniture typical of this West African country. The headboard of the king-sized bed is hand-carved and embellished with traditional mud-cloth. An embroidered bedspread, bold ethnic cushions and crisp linen complete the look. Mali has an outside garden patio and sitting area for you to enjoy.

Morocco Room

Morocco RoomA stay in the Morocco Room is a truly exotic experience. A four-poster king-sized bed is the focal point of the room. Sequinned bedspreads, cushions, curtains and luxurious rugs and fabrics add to the mystique and layered opulence of this North African-themed lodge. Tiled mirrors and shelves in greens and aquamarines enhance the Moroccan bathroom. Outside, you can relax on your private verandah overlooking exotic flower gardens and the waterfall.

Mozambique Room

Mozambique RoomThe inspiration for this room is the sea. An arresting display of organic driftwood furniture, exclusively designed by Wayne Stutchbury (pictured right), evokes the intriguing natural beauty of the Mozambique coastline. Twin beds are made up with a restful selection of nautical coloured linen. A private patio surrounded by an abundance of tropical plants is also yours to enjoy.

Nigeria Room

Nigeria RoomThe Adire cloth from Nigeria inspired this room. This is the famous, indigo resist-dyed cloth of the Yoruba Tribe. Nigerian antiquities, old Bida doors, and dark wood carved mirrors from Bendel State, are balanced with sumptuous layers of linen in crisp whites and indigo blues on a king-sized bed, creating an authentic Nigerian ambience. Stairs lead up to your private balcony with a wonderful view of the surrounding gardens and waterfall.

South Africa Room

South Africa RoomA colour explosion, the South Africa Room is a warm and inviting place to relax. Known as “The Rainbow Nation”, the colours and paintings in the twin bedroom and bathroom, embody this description of South Africa. Beaded cushions, vibrant linen: the bold primary colours, textures and patterns all enhance the atmosphere. With a private balcony and seating area, you can enjoy the ambience of the waterfall and gardens.

Tanzania Room

Tanzania RoomTanzania Room is one of two new rooms. Decorated in the colonial style with some interesting antique pieces and with a spectacular four-poster king-sized bed. The spacious bathroom is a "wet-room", with a fantastic central shower and a free-standing Victorian bathtub. Tanzania has great shared upstairs sitting area for relaxing, enjoying our wonderful weather and the great view. The Tanzania Room shares the upstairs sitting area with the Botswana Room and these two rooms can be booked together for families or groups travelling together.

Zanzibar Room

Zanzibar RoomThe Zanzibar Room is decorated in spicy, rich, earthy tones, reflecting the vibrant history of this Indian Ocean Island, just off the coast of Tanzania. The king-sized bed, with an intricately embroidered Indian bedspread and crisp linen, is complimented by authentic antique Indian furniture. Relax outside on the upstairs balcony, which acts as a perfect hide overlooking the bird life, garden and the waterfall.

Zimbabwe Room

Zimbabwe RoomThe Zimbabwe Room is inspired by the remarkable Great Zimbabwe Ruins. This room is decorated with a distinctive array of neutral fabrics and textures. The colour palette of stone, cream and ochre is taken from the unique landscapes of our country. Striking carved furniture designed by Wayne Stuchbury creates an authentic atmosphere. An exclusive outdoor seating area overlooks the landscaped gardens and waterfall.

Pevensey Lodge

Designed by renowned architect, Ivan Pantic in the style of a Tuscan Villa, this stunning property has taken on the Amanzi style as a homely six bedroomed lodge. The soft earthy tones of the interiors being inspired by Moroccan pattern & colours. The Lodge comprises - six bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms; a bespoke fitted kitchen; a fully equipped games room for relaxation & a wonderful outdoor area next to the pool for entertainment.

Set in four acres of Msasa woodland, Pevensey Lodge offers a more informal service than at Amanzi Lodge. Breakfast is included in the room rate, & by request, other meals can be prepared by a private chef with an international repertoire. Conveniently situated in Highlands ~ an up-market suburb of Harare, the lodge is close to the city & other amenities.

Amanzi Lodge RestaurantSituated in the heart of the Northern Suburbs of Harare, Amanzi Restaurant is set well back from the road in 4 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. An old farmhouse, architecturally converted to a stylish modern restaurant, Amanzi has the capacity to seat 100 people. Its versatile interior, with rooms conveniently linked through open arches, guests can choose to sit in one of the 2 main rooms, a small private function room or the large terrace surrounding the restaurant.

Amanzi offers its customers "fusion" cuisine - a combination of the best food taken from different countries & cultures around the world.
