Elephant's Eye

Elephants Eye, Hwange is situated 13 km from the entrance to Hwange National Park on a private concession of 2500 ha. The lodge is a truly eco-style lodge offering a unique barefoot luxury experience, comprising of 8 tented chalets all with double/twin beds surrounded by mosquito netting.

About Elephant's Eye

Elephant's Eye Hwange is located in a 6000 acre concession just outside Hwange National Park. It has has 8 spacious tented en-suite chalets designed of offer the best views over 2 permanent waterholes. Activities are plentiful and varied including game drives in Hwange National Park, both day and night game drives on the Elephant's Eye concession, game walks on the concession, Cultural visits to a local village and visits to the Painted Dog rehabilitation conservation centre. When not out exploring this magnificent area there is chance to relax around the eco-swimming and make use of Elephant's Eye fantastic spa.
Hwange National Park is the largest Park in Zimbabwe, covering an area of approximately 14 650 square kilometers. Named after a local chief, Hwange is situated in the northwest corner of the country about one hour south of the Mighty Victoria Falls. Because of its close proximity to Victoria Falls, Hwange boasts an incredible biodiversity of flora and fauna, and a plethora of African wildlife. There are over 100 species of mammals and nearly 400 bird species recorded in Hwange National Park. Specifically, the elephant population in Hwange is world famous, as it is one of the largest in the world.


Activities at Elephant’s Eye include game viewing, guided educational walks, bird watching, and night game drives, all with trained field guides; swimming or enjoying sundowners while relaxing near the pool. The Elephant’s Eye has a waterhole which offers unlimited opportunities to view game drinking and cavorting at close range.
