Jecha Point Fishing Lodge is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River below Chirundu on the Zimbabwean side. They offer the discerning traveller a chance to experience the beauty of the middle Zambezi valley river system and it's surrounds from the comfort of a quiet, wild and exclusive lodge.

From candlelit dinners to afternoon sundowners on sandbanks, we offer you the full 'unwind and relax' package. Come and experience an affordable, comfortable and accessible getaway for the whole family.

Accommodation

The lodge can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. Fully catered and semi-self catered options are available. There are 4 chalets sleeping 2 guests each and a family chalet which sleeps 4 adults.

All the chalets are thatched and have en-suite bathroom facilities.

Each of the rooms are cooled with overhead and standing fans.

Laundry is done on a daily basis.

Activities

Fishing
Fishing safaris are hosted by Flycatcher Angling who specialise in professionally guiding fly fishing enthusiasts to take on the mighty Tigerfish amongst other exciting species. Conventional fishermen are also catered for and welcomed. Fly fishing lessons are also offered at the lodge by the resident guides.

Other activities are available on request, such as short bush walks close to camp amongst the resident wildlife species, beach volleyball, beach soccer, birding walks, sunset cruises by boat and not forgetting the spectacular photographic opportunities.

Information

The lodge is very accessible all year round , with options varying from direct air charters from either Harare or Kariba or via road transfer from Lusaka or Harare to camp. The area is a malaria area, so guests should consult their local travel clinic before departure. We also advise guests to take out a comprehensive medical/travel insurance prior to departure.

No pets are allowed due to the wildlife that frequent the camp on a daily basis.

Food preferences can be catered for within reason, given adequate prior notice.

Weather in the Zambezi Valley is most pleasant in the months April to August and hotter in the summer months.
