Mana Shoreline Canoeing Safari

Highlights:
Get closer to nature with Sunpath Safaris on this thrilling canoe safari along the Mana shoreline. The Mana Pools Shoreline Expeditionary canoe safari is for the guest requiring a more 'rustic' and participatory canoe safari than a fully backed-up safari.

About This Tour

This safari involves carrying all the equipment in the canoes and camping on islands or at designated night stops on the mainland along the Mana Pools shoreline. Please note there are no fixed ablution facilities along the way and showers are by bucket, toilet visits with a spade and box of matches!

Their Professional Guides carry large caliber rifles, handguns, medical packs and a two-way radio or satellite phone for your safety.

Costs include all meals, drinks (teas, coffee, cordials, limited minerals and beers, wine at dinner), all canoeing and camping equipment, services of a fully qualified and very experienced Pro Guide. Costs exclude transfers from Harare to Mana Pools, National Parks entry and camping fees and other alcoholic beverages. Transfers from Kariba or Makuti are included.

To be able to canoe on the first day, guests are required to arrive into Mana no later than 11.30am. Most guests fly into Mana Pools airstrip from Kariba but alternatively they can charter directly into Mana Pools from any destination in Zimbabwe. Alternatively guests can self drive into Mana Pools and leave their vehicles at the Warden’s Office for the duration of the safari. Sunpath Safaris also offers road transfers into Mana Pools.

Sunpath Safaris Ethos
To provide a true wilderness experience. To leave a minimal environmental ‘footprint’ where we operate.
To take nothing but memories, leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time. To provide an educational experience – our guides will share their vast knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area.
